PHN Fashion Fix: Nike Air Foamposite Pro “Gucci”

Nike Air Foamposite Pro “Gucci” will be hitting select Nike Sportswear retailers this September. The shoe features the luxury brand’s black, red and green color way. The base of the shoe is in a black matte finish and the interior is done in gym red. Gorge Green was used to outline the  Nike Swoosh logos and is also found on the heel tab. The sole is made of a gum rubber and the metallic gold lace tips are used to complete the look. 

PHN Fashion Fix: Beyonce Vogue September 2015 Issue

Congratulations to Beyonce for gracing the front cover of Vogue. The cover photo was shot by Mario Tesino, and the issue will be out in September. The caption simply reads “Just B, Beyonce and The Art of Global Domination”.  This is Beyonce’s third (U.S.) Vogue cover. A few of the fashion elite are also featured in the article as they give positive words about Beyonce.

“The word diva is used for so many female performers, and it often means they have reputations for being difficult, but she exudes charm and a lovable quality,” says Marc Jacobs, while Stella McCartney adds, “She’s the whole package: primal, rare, delicate, beautiful, and powerful.”

While the official issue doesn’t hit stores until August 25^th, 2015 you can get your starting Friday on Amazon and at Target stores. Check out some pictures and a short video from the spread below.

Vogue: 2015 Met Gala Red Carpet Interview Clips

Just released yesterday and I knew I had to share it. The who’s who attended the ‘China: Through The looking Glass’ Costume Institute Benefit Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Along with the super sleek, sexy, and unforgettable fashion through photos Vogue helps us getting a little closer to some of the hottest looks. Vogue did what I like to call “quick clips” which I describe basically as giving us mini interviews (some a  few seconds, but no longer than a minute or so). The interviews were held by none other than the fabulous Andre Leon Talley (@OfficialALT).

Watch as Mr. Talley interviews some of your favorite celebrities such as Sofia Vergara, Justin Bieber, Cher, Rita Ora, Kanye & Kim Kardashian West, Zendaya, Kristen Wiig, Chrissy Teigen, John Legend, Naomi Campbell, Lee Daniels, Jennifer Lopez, Kate Hudson, Lenny Kravitz, Lisa Bonet, Diddy, Cassie, Madonna, Diplo, Janelle Monae, Rihanna, Taraji P. Sean John 3:AM Fragrance Commercial

Sean Combs is back in a MAJOR way. I was on Macy’s website on Sunday May 3^rd, 2015 and came across a fragrance entitled Sean John 3:AM. I didn't think I had seen the fragrance before so it led me to wonder was there a new fragrance that was launching? So I did a little research and yes indeed after 6 years the newest fragrance 3:AM is out, and can be purchased at Macy’s and you can watch the unrated commercial below.

I’m a night owl and because of that I usually do a lot of research and findings for fashion late at night. I happen to come across the design house of Carla Zampatti. Carla Zampatti is an Italian-Australian fashion designer with over 40 years experience in the fashion industry. I instantly fell in love with her Spring/Summer 2015 collection the first time I saw it. A lot of the designs I feel in love with I did so because they seem so well put together are versatile for a variety of occasions. Zampatti’s stores are located in Australia and I can’t wait until she has one in the South Florida area. Take a look at some of my favorite looks from her SS15 Collection below.

Gingham Prints in for Spring 2015

The checkered suit was in last year for the men, and now the gingham will soon make waves this year for the women. The retro looks are definitely sure to turn a few heads and a lot of top designers have incorporated the trends into their Spring 2015 look. I was up late and had the opportunity to go through a lot of the photos and below are some of the pictures from the line up. Check them out below and make sure to let me know what you think about it. 

 

 

As a personal stylist I can see incorporating some of the gingham prints into looks for my clients (pics coming soon) but I do have my reservations about the newest trend. For instance in some of the pictures you see it’s a bit of overkill on the trend. I don’t mind seeing maybe a black and white gingham print skirt with a solid black blouse. Or maybe even since it is spring a lighter color such as peach or pink gingham print with the appropriate color solid. You can even keep a solid look all together and accessorize with a gingham scarf, shades, or belt. Just depends on what the fashionista is going for.

Congratulations to Nicki Minaj for becoming the face of Roberto Cavalli's Spring/Summer 2015 Collection campaign. With The Pink Print album out now and this new collaboration with Cavalli in 2015 I think we can expect more surprises from Nicki in the coming year.
